This week, Keren Charles of Two Stylish Kays, and I, styled our polka dot pieces. We did it again by coincidentally coordinating our black and white color scheme without knowing what the other person would style. I have to admit that I have a slight addiction to polka dots. I have styled polka dots on the blog before, here and here. To me, polka dot pieces never go out of style. They are classy, timeless, easily styled and always add dimension to an outfit. I thrifted this polka dot shirt from a San Diego Goodwill for $2.50.
Polka dots are so easy to spot in any store, especially thrift stores that are not always organized. This shirt immediately stood out for me because of the striped collar. A shirt that does its own print mixing– score!
I styled my polka dot shirt with a thrifted bodycon mini skirt. I don’t often wear mini skirts but when I saw this one at a consignment shop called Act II here in San Diego, I really wanted it. I love the faux leather midsection in the front and back with exposed zipper. The price of $1.00 was also a FABULOUS steal deal!
As the calendar states we have now entered into fall territory, I choose these super comfortable Audrey Brook soft leather booties from DSW which I recently purchased on clearance for $29.99. A simple yet chic outfit for an evening out.
