quality pieces + great prices

Black Halo dress at consignment shop - Thrifting DivaThere is no better feeling than wearing quality pieces that cost over $500 and knowing you paid a total of $70 for your entire look!  Thank the thrift Gods for consignment, thrift and resale shops for the ability to look fabulous without spending your last dime on quality pieces.

Black Halo dress at consignment shop - Thrifting Diva Black Halo dress at consignment shop - Thrifting DivaThis Black Halo dress was a super find at one of my favorite consignment stores here in San Diego, My Sister’s Closet.  I have a major thing for prints, and I always find my eyes stopping on pieces that have a funky print.  When I tried on this dress, I knew I wanted it even before I saw it was a Black Halo piece.  Black Halo pieces are sold in the high end department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales and Saks to name a few.  The pieces definitely scream designer, but of course, so do the prices unfortunately!

Black Halo dress at consignment shop - Thrifting DivaBlack Halo dress at consignment shop - Thrifting DivaI did my research on this dress in the dressing room.  Yes, I will google a piece in a heartbeat to see just how much of a deal I am getting when I am out shopping.  This particular number is called the Black Halo Catherine Printed Sheath Dress and is currently sold out at Neiman Marcus, but was selling for $390.  At My Sister’s Closet, I paid $29 as it had recently been marked down from $55.  Can you say SCORE!

DSC_4313Black Halo dress at consignment shop - Thrifting Diva I paired this dress with these grey patent leather pumps that I got from Zoe’s Vintique in Los Angeles.  It was the perfect match to this dress as there are subtle hints of grey in the dress.  These are Report Signature pumps, and can cost you $210.  However, you can purchase them for $89 on Ebay.  But the resale price at Zoe’s Vintique cost me $30.  Prices like that for quality pieces simply make me want to tell everyone about these amazing deals.

I love that I was able to get these great pieces at a fraction of the cost.  I hope I am making you a believer that there are some amazing finds to be had at thrift, consignment and resale stores.
