I’m back and keeping up with my promise to post a different outfit this week using my thrifted denim shirt. To recap, I have styled my thrifted denim shirt as a sophisticated chic outfit. Then, came a very casual chic styling of the denim shirt. Now, add an animal print sheer maxi skirt with a pop of color and you have another outfit that blends superbly with this San Diego weather. I don’t own a lot of animal print pieces as I sometimes feel a little overwhelmed with the print itself. However, when I saw this beautiful maxi skirt at Buffalo Exchange, I figured I can pair my denim shirt with this skirt and lessen the overwhelming feeling that I normally get with animal prints. I added a pop of color with some orange heels and a large handbag, just to add some more flair to the outfit.
thrifted Banana Republic denim shirt – $11, Buffalo Exchange
thrifted Forever 21 animal print maxi skirt -$8, Buffalo Exchange
thrifted belt – $1.99, Salvation Army
orange handbag – $29.99, JustFab
Nine West shoes – $12.99, Ross
Stay tuned for outfit #4 with a different thrifted denim shirt!
I’ve been trying to find a denim shirt for a minute in my local thrift stores. I’m still on the hunt but, you’ve done some great things with denim. Kudos to you!
Tanesha, thank you! It definitely took me a minute to find one. I was very near breaking down and purchasing one at the Gap, but held out. So glad that I did.
I love that your blog shows all the nice, fashionable pieces you could get from thrift shops. I think 90% of my closet is from thrift shops. But good animal print is hard to find. That maxi skirt is perfect for summer.
Kibkabe,
Yesssss….good animal print is hard to find. It took me a few years to get this one. And, yes, I wish everyone shopped at the thrift shops first then turn to retail. Great prices, save the environment, help out charities, the list goes on and on as to why we should be thrifting more.
