Chic Flats

I have many days when wearing heels is simply not an option and having flats as a cute alternative is superb for me. I strive to look amazing every time I step out, but wearing heels cannot be my only option when putting together an outfit. Thankfully, you don’t have to sacrifice style when you’re rocking a comfortable pair of flats.Nothing is more comfortable than wearing flat shoes in the spring and summer. However, I do know many women that believe that flats take away from a great outfit. I’m not denying that some killer heels often are a bit more flattering for an overall look. But, flats can be very elegant chic and awesome with an outfit. Besides, flats have one major advantage over heels- hey are comfortable and will allow you to walk for long stretches of time without your feet paying the price. |
Pointed flats remain a chic option for day-to-day wear. I picked up these Chinese Laundry black and white floral ballet flats from DSW in their clearance section. If you follow me, you already know how I feel about DSW’s clearance section. I honestly can’t tell you the last time I bought something from DSW that wasn’t in their clearance section because I constantly score in the clearance section. These gorgeous flats set me back only $18.95.
I styled these flats with these distressed boyfriend jeans that I got from Ross Dress For Less. I love these jeans because they are not too baggy and have the perfect amount of distressing. Their clearance price of $15 also made the decision to buy them even more easier.
I added this Material Girl cape blazer which was a holiday season sale pick up from Macy’s for only $22.00. It normally retailed for $49. I wish I had gotten it in black as it’s such a beautiful blazer that is so versatile, and add the chic factor to any outfit.
Finally, I added one of my favorite clutches to the mix. You have seen this clutch here before. This clutch is such a great statement piece and one that I can easily style with so many outfits, to include those featuring flats.
