It would appear that the fall weather has definitely started in some parts of the country.  But, I live in sunny San Diego, where temperatures last week were in the upper 90s during the day!  However, over the weekend, I noticed the first signs of fall when the evening temperatures dropped considerably during the evening.  True fall weather will not really hit San Diego until late October and early November though.  Since it’s cool in the mornings, hot during the day and very cool in the evenings, the name of the game for fall fashion here in San Diego is layering, with some definitely wider options for footwear!

Heading out to an evening affair, I defaulted to a super easy outfit, which is also one of my favorite fall looks here in San Diego.  I thrifted this graphic tee for .99cents at the Salvation Army.  If you have been following me, you know my cardinal rule about t-shirts.  No more than $2.00 for a t-shirt from a thrift shop.  It is USED used t-shirt after all.  The over sized bag was also thrifted for $9.99 from AMVETS.

I added this thrifted red blazer for layering for the night chill.  The blazer was thrifted for $4.99 at a Goodwill.  Paired with some distressed skinny jeans, and this outfit came together in less than ten minutes.

As I mentioned above, due to the “warmer” fall we have in San Diego, my options for footwear are definitely more open than in other parts of the country where fall only feels like winter!  These shoes I recently picked up at one of my FAVORITE budget retail stores – Ross Fashion For Less.  I have blogged about some great finds that I have gotten from Ross, here and here.  If you have patience to shop at thrift store, then you have patience to shop at Ross.  Besides, you can always be rewarded with something at an incredible price.  When I saw these shoes, I instantly fell in love.  The heels are not too high, great fall color, closed toes for fall outfits and can I say — sexy!  Best of all, they were reduced down at $17.99!  Yes, that is a SCORE.

These are definitely going to be making more appearances as I see them as a neutral that will go with probably everything!
