Every fashionista needs a little black dress. With the holiday season right upon us, having a little black dress in your arsenal of outfits is definitely a good idea.
A little black dress also known as LBD, is not only timeless in the sense that it will outlast trends and ages, but it also means that you can truly wear black at any time of the day, any age, and almost any occasion. The right black dress will emphasize your great assets and hide those less than good assets. It will make you feel beautiful and have the major ability to exude sexiness. Now, which woman does not want a dress that can accomplish this in one great easy outfit.
Now, if you don’t already own that perfect little black dress, no need to spend a fortune. I picked up this little black dress from My Sister’s Closet here in San Diego and is probably one of my best purchases yet! This LaRok Luxe little black dress set me back $27 at my favorite consignment store. Had I purchased it at retail price, I would have probably had to pay about $150. The savings at thrift and consignment stores are always incredible to me.
I love the embellishments at the top of the dress, and the shape of the dress in the skirt portion. Classy, sexy and definitely wearable to so many occasions. This dress for me, is the perfect little black dress.
I wanted a black and gold look so I went with these super cute Carlos Santana heels that were gifted to me from my fellow thrift sister, Keren Charles of Two Stylish Kays. I have to let you in on the secret here. These heels are crazy comfortable. I wore this outfit to a concert, and did not feel like amputating my feet when I came home. I now try to wear these heels with everything if I could get away with it. I absolutely love them. The sequin clutch was thrifted and have made a debut on the blog before here.
Have you thrifted a little black dress lately? Is it part of your thrift wish list?
I love this dress Ayana! The details at the top are really beautiful and it fits you really well. I’ve never tried Carlos Santana shoes but if they were that comfortable, they may be worth a try.
