I am definitely open to wearing many various trends, but sometimes I do have to take my time to jump in. Patterned pants is just one of them. But, this is where being a thriftaholic comes in very handy. I can experiment with various trends without breaking the bank. If in the end, I truly cannot adapt to a particular trend, look or style, I am not too upset that I spent $2-$10. Yay! I found these patterned H&M pants from Thrift Traders in San Diego for $5.99. When I saw it, I immediately knew that I had to have it, and thanks to the thrifting gods, it fit perfectly. This beautiful white BCBG jacket was hanging in the men’s section of a Washington DC Goodwill. Yes, I did say the men’s section. Here is a tip to all who aspire one day to be a thrifting expert. Shop the entire store, every section, every nook and cranny. You never know what you will find. When I spotted this beautiful jacket, I literally stifled a scream. The price tag, $4.25. Add, a military discount and I felt like I was stealing. I paired the jacket and pants with a bright fuchsia silk blouse. I love color and a pop of color with the blue and white screamed YES in my head. I added some ankle strap silver heels to complete the outfit and I was ready to step out rocking the pattern trend with such cute thrifted pieces.

Thank you! I wasn’t too sold on patterns at first. However, I knew that thrifting these looks would definitely be easier on the budget rather than buying them at the mall. Continue to follow me as I try out various trends using the thrift stores as my first stop.
