I decided to write this post about my upcoming San Diego Thrifting Bus Tour on June 21st. Why am I doing it in the first place? When I arrived in San Diego last year in August, with not too many friends or any family out here, I figured I can always fall back on something that I loved — shopping. I have always loved thrifting, so I set out to find every thrift store in San Diego. I would say that I am probably a thriftaholic, sounds bad, I know. But when you calculate the amount of money I have saved hitting up thrift, vintage and consignment shops, another word that comes to mind is — SMART! The hunt for something interesting, different, daring I might say, and best of all CHEAP, is like no other shopping energy I have ever had. But, there comes a time when a girl just wants to show off her finds and enjoy the initial thrill with another like minded shopping buddy. Screaming out loud in thrift stores only makes you look weird. But, screaming out loud in thrift stores, with a friend, makes you the envy of those shopping alone…lol.
I started searching the internet for possible thrift tours in the San Diego area. Nothing came up. I did find awesome thrifting bus tours happening in Atlanta. So I figured, why not try one here in San Diego. And, thus begun the prepping of my June 21st San Diego Thrifting Bus Tour.
