Spring is here, so let’s pull out those shorts!  This week, Keren Charles of Two Stylish Kays and I are styling our shorts.  Check out Keren’s blog to see the details of her beautiful floral shorts. I am truly loving the pinks in her outfit.

I have had these shorts for a couple of years now, and I swear that I am able to reinvent them every time I wear it.  I purchased these shorts for only $5 online at Forever 21 during a major end of season clearance.  They were originally $22.  Retail stores have an amazing sales and clearances that can sometimes rival the prices you pay at thrift and consignment shops.  Don’t forget about them on your shopping list.

I was immediately drawn to these referee shorts because of the stripes.  I honestly think that stripes are such a fun pattern to work with when creating your outfits.

I went with this gorgeous green silk blouse.  I purchased it from EA Vintage here in San Diego for $15.  There is so many things that I LOVE about this blouse.  What’s there not to like about this blouse?  I love the arm pleats, the shoulder details, the high collar and the buttons in the back, rather than in the front.  Also, let’s not forget about this gorgeous color — eeek!  If you haven’t checked out EA Vintage here in San Diego, you are definitely missing out on some amazing vintage pieces.

Lastly, I finished this outfit with this beautiful jeweled pumps that I bought from Ross Dress For Less for $19.  I am always pleasantly surprised at some of the awesome shoe collection that store has.  Not to mention, the awesome thrifty prices for their items.  These heels are a beautiful match to the green blouse.  I figured that pairing these heels with the shorts would be one way of dressing down such fancy heels.  What do you think?
