I don’t know about you, but I think skinny jeans are the best things ever.  Throw in a high waisted skinny jeans and I am in outfit heaven, because there are no limits to your fashion game.  This week, Keren Charles of Two Stylish Kays and I are showing you how we weeerk our skinny jeans.  Head over to Keren’s blog and check out her chic look, featuring denim skinny jeans.

I love these high waisted skinny black jeans.  Thrifted for only $5.00 at a local San Diego Goodwill, they are my go to black jeans.   In a previous post, I have explained that thrifting jeans can be difficult, but so well worth it when you find the perfect pair.  I bought these jeans during one of my “jeans thrift” shopping trips.  I call these my magic pair.  High waisted skinny jeans tend to highlight certain midsection flaws.  These, magically do not!

I wore these high waisted skinny jeans with this funky patterned crop top I picked up on the last San Diego Thrifting Bus Tour from Frock You Vintage.  This crop top was $10 – a STEAL!  It’s definitely a unique piece that garners a lot of compliments when I wear it.  Who would believe it was $10 from a second hand consignment shop?  And, yes, these photos were shot in early November — the weather is still that nice during the day in San Diego!

One of my coolest thrift finds are these Cole Haan gold loafers that I thrifted from Lost and Found Recycled Fashion in San Diego for $14.00.  You can find a pair at Neiman Marcus for $110, but I would rather pay $14!

I completed this outfit with a gold clutch.  A thrift tip for you is to search in bins throughout the thrift and consignment stores you visit.  There is always something to be found hidden away.  While perusing a local Salvation Army, I found a bin with a ton of clutches all for $1.00.  I was very happy when I came across this gold piece.  I am definitely one to wear my dressier pieces with non-dressy outfits.  I know for some ladies, this clutch will only be worn in the evenings with a dress.  But, take a risk and throw it in with the unexpected outfit.  Fashion should be fun.  Forget the rules — sometimes!
