I have to admit that there are many times in the morning that I am in no mood to try and figure out a great outfit. Either, I’m running late, not feeling the fashion vibe or simply lazy. Oh, and don’t let something have to be ironed…probably the sole reason I don’t dress FAB everyday.
However, I have a quick and yet fashionable answer for those days– my thrifted shift dresses. If you don’t already have a shift dress in your closet, run to the nearest thrift/consignment shop and search for them. These shift dresses are very flattering on every body shape. Imperfections simply cannot be seen in this little number. LOVE IT!
I can slip one on, add a great pair of shoes and some accessories and I am set to go. And, bonus, if you hang right after coming out the dryer, no need for an iron later. This thrifted outfit of the day came out of the closet as a quick solution to getting out the house in under fifteen minutes. I am also rocking my new fave pocketbook from JustFab. It is such a beautiful color and I swear it goes with everything!

thrifted shift shirt – $8, Buffalo Exchange
thrifted wedges – $11, Buffalo Exchange
pocketbook – $29.99, JustFab
statement necklace – $10, H&M

OMG, all your thrift finds are fab especially that thrifted dress! I wish I have the kind of thrift store in here where you usually buy your gorgeous pieces but we have only one. 🙁
Loving the color palette that you wore, so perfect for the spring ad summer season.
Have a lovely week ahead, Ayana! 🙂
Cheryl,
Thank you for the words of inspirations! One thrift store huh…yeah, I might go a little crazy. My goal is visit every single one in the San Diego area before the end of the year..lol. We do have a lot though, so I might not meet that goal, but I will enjoy trying. Likewise, you have a great week.
I love this look! I really need a shift dress + I wish I lived near a Buffalo Exchange *sigh*
Cookie,
Thank you! I do love me some Buffalo Exchange though…lol, maybe a little too much.
Great thrifted pieces! The dress looks great on you. 🙂
Mo,
Thank you hun! As I said, I think these dresses will look great on just about anyone.
I’m yet to find the perfect shift dress at my local thrift stores. But I’ll keep on a-searching.
Your shift dress, by the way, is really nice. I really liked how you paired it with the two-tone wedges.
Vivi,
Thanks for stopping by the blog! Yes honey, keep searching for those shift dresses in the thrift/consignment shops. I had to do a bit of searching myself, so I know that it’s not something that pops up all the time. Thanks for the lovely compliment about the outfit by the way.
Visiting from Nic’s personal link-up and you look Great in your shift. I love budget shopping so the fact that you got your dress for such a good price is just the cherry on top.
Thank you Neti for stopping by and thanks for the compliment. Budget shopping is the real deal. I am mad that I have only been turned onto this sort of shopping a few years ago! I can’t imagine the amount of money I would have saved had I been doing this all of my life.
What a cute dress and it was at a really great price. Sounds like this is a really awesome thrift shop.
Sonya,
Thank you! You should check to see if there is a Buffalo Exchange in your area, it truly is an AWESOME place.
Commented on the wrong post..lol. Sat my phone down picked it back up and started typing my comment without checking to make sure it was still on the same page. But the comment above is for your latest post 🙂
Sonya,
No problem. Thanks for stopping by.

Antoinette,
Thanks for hopping over!!!! Girl, you are on point when you say heat! This thing is so airy. I think every gal should have one, or two, darnit, a few!
What a gorgeous and fuss free outfit! I love the shift dress and the wedges. I have a hard time finding clothes at the thrift store that don’t already look worn out, but I enjoy looking and finding the occasional treasure.
I love your bag! I saw it in the Personal Style Monday link up and I had to stop by.

Jess,
Exactly why I am all about shift dresses honey. Don’t give up on the thrift stores. You will definitely find some worn out stuff there, but trust me, you will get things that look like this ALL the time. And check out JustFab, their bag selection is definitely on point. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Truly appreciate it.
